Tedeschi, Maui's only winery, is nestled on the hillside high above Wailea. It's an extremely verdant area that reminds us Californians of Sonoma or Mendocino.

The little building in the background housed a jail before it became the winery's first tasting room. The new tasting room is, of course, much larger but lacks the charm of the original.
