Eventually the Piilani Highway, as the southern route is called, began climbing into Up Country providing us with some spectacular views.

This view is of uninhabited Kahoolawe (former target site of U.S. Navy bombing runs), little Molokini off to the right, and some dramatic late afternoon clouds.
