The second most popular activity on Oahu, after visiting Pearl Harbor, is making the arduous hike to the top of Diamond Head. It's best to start out early in the the morning because there's little shade from the punishing sun.

Visible to the south (below) are Kapiolani Park, the hotel towers of Waikiki, and the skyscrapers of downtown Honolulu.
